UK Bucket List: 80 places to go, things to do and food to try.

I know I know, for some people the idea of having The Bucket List seems stupid and too cliche, but for me it’s the only way to organize myself and plan my time. I’ve been in this situation before – after a year of living in Budapest, one week before leaving this beautiful city I realized that I hadn’t done a lot of things I wanted to. I know that we won’t be living in the UK for the rest of our lives and one day will be moving somewhere else, I want to make sure that I’ve done everything I wanted and haven’t missed out.

Also, it’s good way to get up on Saturday and start doing things (not that I don’t do anything, but you know… ). What London has taught me is to plan everything in an advance. It can sounds ridiculous, but sometimes we even book theatre tickets a year before the performace (crazy!). Anyway, I initially wanted to write down a list of ‘100 things to do before leaving the UK’, but I’ve decided to leave a room for some spontaneity and cut the list a bit.

Hi, very nice list. Just to have a unique experience I would suggest:
Drink related- try molecular cocktail in Purl bar, Mayfair
Food and travel related- unforgettable experience in Fat Duck restaurant.
Travel- visit extreme points of UK: farther north, south, east or west than any other location.
    Good luck!
    All the best

Yeah, traveling in the country is prio number one!

I’ve spent some time in Liverpool already (1.5 months), that part of English is ‘done’ 🙂

I came here to check out your list after seeing your post on Instagram. I’m amazed to see I’ve done a lot of your tourist, travel and places stuff!
A few places you might have been to already and if not should add are: Greenwich (the markets are great), the red house (national trust), 2 temple place, ham house. Winchester was lovely too, and a short trip from London, as is Canterbury.
Grant Museum is awesome and definitely cross that off. Buckingham palace was also lovely, but no photos insidr sadly.

Hope you have the best time crossing things off! My list is massive as well! Hooray for adventuring!

      Hi Alison,

I’ve been to Greenwich and Winchester already, very lovely places!

I think I need to put together a general list of things to do in the UK, because this is only something I haven’t done yet 😉

      Cheers!

    Hi Katya,
like you i have so many fav places in London, what i would recommend if not already done: Broadway Street Market and (my fav by far) Maltby Street Market for food and drinks. This is a must every time (week-end) i am coming to London.
Sky Garden (free entrance if booked in advance ) but i believe you already did this one; perfect for drinks and view.
Seven Sisters / Eastbourne for travel.
I would have recommended to see Yerma at Young Vic but it is sold out, what an amazing play.
For something different: a graffiti tour or just walk randomly between Old Street – Bricklane – Shoreditch.
Pizza pizza pizza at Homeslice pizza in Neal`s yard. difficult to find a free seat in the weekend however.
oh well, i have so many more, but always i add some more from your Instagram photos 🙂
    enjoy!

      Hey,

Ok, from your list I haven’t been to Maltby Street Market and Homeslice pizza only 😛

Thanks for your comment, it reminds me I want to go to Sky Garden again 🙂

      Have a good day!

If you like jazz, check the schedule at Pizza Express in Soho. Smooth Jazz UK does a great job of bringing top
    musicians to this location.
